Telecoms Fundamentals

The purpose of this unit is for learners to develop their knowledge and understand of methods of delivering communications networks within the telecommunications industry. This will provide learners with the underpinning knowledge and skills required to progress within the sector in a variety of job functions.

The concepts will be relevant to both wired and wireless components of data and telecommunications networks.

Learners will be expected to explore issues such as enterprise cabling and telecoms utilities.

Learners will develop an awareness of the concepts that provide the underpinning knowledge required in the other units that are delivered as part of this qualification.
