Wireless and Cellular Networks

 The purpose of this unit is for learners to develop an insight into the concepts involved in using mobile and wireless networks to communicate both in a business and personal environment. 

This unit provides the underpinning knowledge to be able to understand the technologies used in the Public Communication Network (PCN), Mobile and Wireless Industry. This will involve the physical layer components including antenna theory, RF feeders and FTTA, and higher layers to give the learner an understanding of the networks they support and the traffic carried.
