This accreditation is for Communication Providers (CP) engineers and contractors working in the Openreach infrastructure including Northern Ireland.
This module consists of two parts, a questionnaire and a practical session. The module assesses the delegate’s knowledge and ability to increase space in the upper pole envelope by moving the top bass step downwards in line with the current PIA terms and conditions and also to understand the new upper envelope of space and its measurement.
Pre – requisites:
The delegate should be adequately trained in the CP’s standard method of pole access and have been accredited on S8 – PIA Overhead Cable Installation.

It assesses delegates' knowledge and ability to increase space in the upper pole envelope by moving the top base step downwards in compliance with current PIA terms and conditions.
• Participants should be adequately trained in the CP’s standard method of pole access and have been accredited on SA008 – PIA Overhead Cable Installation before attending the S009 course.
