CTTS turns 30!

Founded in 1994 by Martyn Cook, Cable Television Training Services (CTTS) embarked on its
journey from a humble beginning on Skellingthorpe Road in Lincoln. Over the span of three
decades, CTTS has undergone significant expansion and transformation in response to the
dynamic landscape of the industry it serves.

Today, rebranded as Cable Telecommunication Training Services, the company is
headquartered in North Hykeham, Lincoln, with three distinct sites catering to various
aspects of its operations. ‘The Cove’ houses administrative functions along with classrooms
and pole field, while ‘Unit 3’ provides additional classrooms and specialized facilities such as
our confined space training container. Additionally, Eden House offers state-of-the-art
conference and training facilities, further enhancing CTTS's capacity to deliver
comprehensive educational programs.

CTTS's organizational structure comprises diverse teams, each contributing essential
expertise to ensure the efficacy of its training courses. At the helm we have our MD Richard
May, Colin Sweeney our Director of UK Operations, Colin Jackson our Senior Business
Development Manager and Andy Sumner our Operational Training Manager.

Our Team

Critical to CTTS's operations is its administrative team, consisting of Natasha Ronald, Carol
Gaff, and the recently onboarded Kacie Naylor, who adeptly steer the company's
administrative functions. Furthermore, the team of dedicated telecommunication and civil
trainers, numbering eight and two respectively, diligently facilitate training sessions, adapting
to the ever-changing demands of the industry.

"CTTS's organizational structure comprises diverse teams, each contributing essential
expertise to ensure the efficacy of its training courses."

CTTS prides itself on its commitment to knowledge, not only to its delegates but also within
the broader industry ecosystem. Through collaborations with industry peers such as
Rainford and Telenco UK, CTTS actively participates in conferences and forums, fostering a
culture of mutual learning and collaboration. Events like the FTTH Berlin 2024 Conference
and Connected North serve as platforms for exchanging insights and best practices, enriching
CTTS's training offerings.

Renowned as a premier training academy in telecommunication and civil engineering, CTTS
collaborates with esteemed accrediting bodies like Smart Awards, CABWI, and City & Guilds
to deliver accredited courses of the highest caliber. Whether for national or international
delegates, CTTS remains committed to upholding rigorous standards, empowering individuals
to apply their training effectively and safely in their professional endeavors.

At CTTS, the company honors its rich heritage by safeguarding its original name through a
cherished company stamp, while also embracing the future with a new ink stamp symbolizing
its forward momentum. As CTTS approaches its 30th anniversary, the company eagerly
anticipates the opportunities and challenges that the next three decades will bring, poised to
continue its legacy of excellence in telecommunications training.
